What is USVI Wellness Fair 2024?

The USVI Wellness Fair 2024 is a nine-day event to provide USVI residents with no-cost dental and optometry services, medical screenings, and pediatric physicals and vaccinations.

The Fair will be held from June 1 – 9, 2024, at the St. Croix Educational Complex located at Rural Route No. 2 in Kingshill, St. Croix and at the Ivanna Eudora Kean High School located at 1 & 2 Estate Nazareth, St. Thomas.

Some pediatric services, such as back-to-school physicals and vaccinations, will be provided at the VI Department of Health’s Maternal Child Clinic located on the second floor of the former Caribe Home Center on St. Croix, at 3241 Estate Contant on St. Thomas and at the Morris DeCastro Clinic at Cruz Bay in St. John.

The schedule for all sites is as follows:

Saturday, June 1
8 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Sunday, June 2
10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Monday – Friday, June 3 – 7
8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Saturday, June 8
8 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Sunday, June 9
9 a.m. to 12 p.m. 
Connecting Community to Care Day” only for those who already received medical services needing referrals to local care providers

The Fair is hosted by the Virgin Islands Department of Health in partnership with the Office of the Governor and with the support of the Department of Defense’s Innovative Readiness Training Program (IRT). The IRT is comprised of Air Force Reserve Command, Air National Guard, and Air Force active-duty members from across the nation to serve you.

The Fair will provide the following services at no cost:

  • Dental: routine exams, cleanings, tooth extraction, fillings.
  • Optometry: routine exams, emergency eye exams, diabetic retinal evaluations, school vision screenings, prescription eyeglasses (Eyeglasses will be fitted on island, then fabricated off island and shipped back to the Territory.)
  • Medical Screenings: blood pressure, cholesterol, glucose, mental wellness
  • Pediatric Physicals: back to school physicals, sports physicals
  • Vaccinations
All USVI residents can receive services. No one will be turned away.
All services are being offered at no cost to the patient. No payment or insurance is required.
Yes. Babies and children up to five years old can receive an optometry screening.
Yes. Children three years and older can receive a dental exam.
No. Individuals are not required to provide identification or proof of citizenship to receive services at the USVI Wellness Fair. All are welcome.
No. No one is required to make an appointment. However, special accommodations will be made for individuals with disabilities and the elderly.
Registration is not required but it is recommended. Only online registration is available.
Yes, individuals may attend each day until all services are completed.
The VI Department of Health will assist with referrals to local health providers or healthcare clinics for follow-up services.
